Emma Downie
I am an existential psychotherapist. This means I focus on the uniqueness of each individual and their own experience in their existence whilst working relationally as another human being. I have a Masters in Existential Psychotherapy from Regents University. I am a registered member of BACP and follow their ethical guidelines.

I offer online sessions via Zoom and in-person sessions at Effra Space in Brixton, SW2 1PX and Caya in Peckham, SE15 4PU.

I currently volunteer as a psychotherapist with Headstrong (a low-cost service) and have previously volunteered for VIA, an organisation supporting people with drug and alcohol issues.

Psychotherapy is a form of talking therapy that aims to look in depth at different concerns, difficulties or challenges in life. Through building a therapeutic relationship over a period of time, a space is created in which you can safely and confidentially explore deep-seated and structural issues.
